By accessing or using Applybase ("Service") at https://applybase.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Applybase is a free job application tracking platform that helps users organize and manage their job search activities, including applications, interviews, contacts, offers, and related documentation.

3. Free Service

Applybase is provided to you at no cost. There are no subscription fees, premium tiers, or charges for using any features of the Service.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to use the Service
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4.2 Account Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information
You agree to update your information to keep it accurate and current

5. Data Ownership and Rights

5.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service ("User Data")
User Data includes but is not limited to: job applications, company information, contacts, interviews, notes, offers, resumes, and activity logs

5.2 Our Rights to Your Data

      
          By using this Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable,
            worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, distribute, and
            commercialize your User Data
        
          We reserve the right to sell, license, or otherwise monetize your
            User Data to third parties without additional compensation to
            you
        
          We may use your data for analytics, research, product improvement, and
          commercial purposes
        
          We may aggregate and anonymize your data for any business purpose

5.3 Your Right to Opt Out of Data Sales

      
          You may opt out of the sale of your personal data at any time
            through your user profile page
        
          To exercise this right, log into your account and navigate to your
          profile settings where you can disable data sales
        
          Even after opting out, we retain the right to use your data for
          internal business purposes as described in Section 5.2
        
          Opting out does not affect our right to aggregate or anonymize your
          data
        
          Important: Opting out only applies to future data sales - it does
            not affect data that has already been sold or shared prior to your
            opt-out request

5.4 Data Processing

We may collect and process the following types of data:

Personal information (name, email, preferences)
Job search data (applications, interviews, offers, salaries)
Professional information (companies, contacts, notes, resumes)
Usage analytics and activity logs
Technical data (IP addresses, browser information, platform usage)

6. User Responsibilities

6.1 Acceptable Use

Use the Service only for lawful purposes
Do not upload malicious content or attempt to harm the Service
Do not violate any applicable laws or regulations
Do not impersonate others or provide false information

6.2 Content Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide
We are not responsible for any consequences resulting from inaccurate data

7. Account Termination

7.1 Your Right to Opt Out and Delete

You may delete your account at any time through the application settings
You may also request account deletion by emailing: legal@applybase.app >
You may opt out of data sales at any time through your user profile page without deleting your account
Upon account deletion, your access to the Service will be terminated

7.2 Data Retention After Deletion

      
          Important: Even after account deletion, we retain the right to keep
            and use your data as described in Section 5.2
        
          We may retain your data for legal, regulatory, or business purposes
        
Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely

7.3 Our Right to Terminate

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms
We may terminate the Service at any time with or without notice

8. Privacy and Security

8.1 Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data
However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security

8.2 Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services (authentication, analytics, etc.)
Your data may be processed by these third-party services according to their terms

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time

9.2 Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law
Since this is a free service, you acknowledge that our liability is particularly limited

9.3 No Employment Guarantees

The Service is a tool for organizing job searches
We make no guarantees about job search outcomes or employment success

We own all rights to the Service, including software, design, and trademarks
You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service

10.2 User Content

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms
